SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE HOUSE

CASA PAVÃO is the largest of the three lodgings in SALGADINHO. The house has the atmosphere of a private home and is ideal for a family with 1-2 children or a single couple. In addition to the private lawn in front of the winter garden, there is a private terrace next to the pool and two small patios.

The panoramic view over the landscape between the sea and the Serra de Monchique is wonderful and even spectacular at sunset over the sea.

Because it was built according to ecological standards, with rammed earth walls, good insulation and highly efficient central heating, the interior of the house has a balanced climate. Natural materials dominate the interior decoration, with furniture made from rattan, bamboo and wood. When the temperature drops, the cast iron stove provides a pleasant atmosphere.

The accommodation is designed for a couple or a family with 1-2 children, but is also comfortable with two couples or a group of friends, as long as two people don't mind sleeping in the mezzanine.

The bedroom is spacious with a large double bed and a private patio. In the mezzanine the two single beds can easily be rearranged into a king-size bed. The bathroom has a corner bath with shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and connected by a dishwasher to the dining table in the living room. The living room extends to a large winter garden furnished with a further dining table and sofa (in summer it can be a double or single sofa bed).

The accommodation is suitable for teleworking. Free WiFi is available to guests. There are separate lines and specific access keys for each accommodation.

COMMON SPACE
Shared by guests at MOINHO (2), CASA PEIXE (2-3) and CASA PAVÃO, the communal space at SALGADINHO includes an infinity pool and a charcoal barbecue set in the garden next to the panoramic "Miradouro" terrace. It offers breathtaking views of the countryside with sunrises over the hills and sunsets over the sea. The evenings are inviting forstar-gazing, as you can usually see the celestial blanket of thousands of stars. Anyone interested can ask to use the small telescope on site.

POOL
The infinity pool, with a depth of up to 1.45m, has the appearance of an infinite water mirror, almost like a lake. In addition to the main entrance at ground level, there is a stepped access directly from CASA PAVÃO's private terrace. Maintenance is regular and continuous throughout the year.
The swimming pool is shared with guests at MOINHO (2) and CASA PEIXE (2-3), but this is nothing to worry about. SELÃO DA EIRA is a nature resort where you can enjoy great privacy, and those who value privacy respect the wishes of others. Guests in different houses rarely visit the pool at the same time, and each has its own terrace.

ACCESSIBILITY
The topography of the land unfortunately meant that CASA PAVÃO could not be built in a wheelchair-accessible way. On the garden side, two steps were unavoidable.

At SALGADINHO, only CASA PEIXE is accessible and functional for guests with reduced mobility. In addition, all three accommodations at SÍTIO DAS ROLAS offer suitable conditions for wheelchair users.

ANIMALS
Pets are welcome as long as they are well-mannered and guided by their owners. Their stay is free of charge. There is only a small charge for the more intensive cleaning required after a pet's stay. For CASA PAVÃO's larger accommodations, this pet fee is €40.

BREAKFAST
The rental is self-catering. However, guests can choose to have breakfast items delivered to their home on individual order. Costs vary from €6.00 to €9.00 per person/day, depending on the items chosen. The service can be daily, only on the first day, or occasional during longer stays.


ACTIVITIES

MINIGOLF
Guests have the "Costa Alentejana" Minigolf course nearby, the first in the world that can also be played in a wheelchair. The 18-lane course is set in a large green space.

NATURE'S PARADISE
The SELÃO DA EIRA VELHA forest valley, 1400 m away, is a meeting place with nature, a unique outdoor leisure space. Guests can watch swans, ducks, geese and terrapins in the lakes and dozens of peacocks on the loose, visit the chicken coop and the organic vegetable garden. They can also walk the trails to explore the natural environment and see a forest that is recovering well after a major fire in 2023. Those who want to can walk all the way to the "Rota Vicentina" on the stretch between São Teotónio and Odeceixe.
The "Perto do Paraíso" terrace with a pavilion and various terraces and natural nooks scattered around the lakes and the stream invites you to relax and have a snack, and have fun with the little Easygolfe.
On request, there are dinners in the countryside, and sometimes get-togethers with guests at the time. Arrangements for parties and groups are possible by appointment.

THAI AYURVEDA SALA
The small clinic, halfway between SALGADINHO and SÍTIO DAS ROLAS, is open for professional physiotherapy treatments based on Traditional Thai Medicine and Ayurveda. by appointment. Prices range from €90 for a full body treatment (2 hours) to €65 for a relaxation massage (1 hour) and €50 for partial treatments such as a foot and leg massage (45 minutes). From November to April there is the NATURA CURA program with treatment packages and healthy nutrition, lasting 7 or 12 days.
